Edgeley Park, Stockport
As part of the Edgeley Park Stadium Travel Plan to reduce congestion around the Stadium on match day, supporters of both Stockport County FC and Sale Sharks RUFC are being encouraged to car share to and from home matches.
Working in partnership with Stockport Council and Stockport College, a total of nearly 500 car parking spaces have been set aside for those vehicles arriving with more than one supporter.
Nathan Bombrys, Sale Sharks Sales and Marketing Manager, states, "Sharks matches on Friday nights make for a great social night out. We've been working in partnership with Stockport Council over the last couple of seasons to reduce traffic around the ground on match nights. Car sharing with friends, family and fellow Sharks supporters not only helps to reduce the traffic congestion around the ground, but it means that you can begin socialising with friends and family on the way to the match or catch a ride home with fellow supporters and relive all the great Sharks tries on the way."
