We will not share your details with anyone outside of your organisation, nor will we share your information with any third-party organisation. Your details will only be passed on to other car-sharers you are matched with based on the information you give us and will only be used to help you car share.

We also only ask you to provide us with work email addresses and phone number to maintain your privacy. If you choose to cease being a member we will permanently delete your contact details. You can do this at any time.

Some employers offer a Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) scheme so that you can get home quickly if the need arises, for instance in a family emergency. Please check with your employer for details and availability.

Once your local administrator has contacted you to notify you of a possible car-share match, we suggest that adopt this common-sense approach to ensure your safety:

• avoid swapping home addresses with your carshare companion before meeting them
• meet in a public place
• tell someone you trust who it is you will be travelling with, where you are going and when
• show each other some form of ID such as your work ID badge as soon as you meet. This is both reassuring enables you to identify each other!
• you are under no obligation to go ahead with any car share. If you have any doubts about your travelling companion, for any reason, you should avoid travelling with them
• if you have any problems please contact your local administrator we will endeavour to help in any way that we can.
